Customer Service - Security
Statementcheckers.com takes every precaution to protect you when
you send information to us so that you never have to worry about
security. Any highly confidential information sent to us will be
requested inside one of our secure server software pages.
Safe Technology: Our secure server software is among the best
software available today for secure Internet interaction. It
encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card
number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the
information travels over the Internet.
Having a secure site is recognised by an unbroken key or lock
that appears in the bottom of your browser window. This
technology provides a secure connection that keeps data private
during transmission over the Internet.
The part of this site that needs this security is the pages that
accept your credit card details (this is a few steps into the
ordering process on
Statementcheckers.com).
How the process works
When you send information to our site, the information is
transmitted from your computer over local telephone lines to
your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and then over the
Internet.
Both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator use
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt the data that you send
over the Net.
The information in SSL goes directly to our server. Once we
receive the encrypted data, we then need a special security
'key' to be able to 'unlock' the information. Once this is done
we review the information and then delete the information. This
is done to ensure that nobody can access this information.
Remember
Always use a secure Web browser. Using Netscape Navigator
version 2.0 (or later), or any version of Microsoft Internet
Explorer as your browser provides you with an additional level
of security when shopping on the Web. These browsers use SSL
technology, a system that lets your browser automatically
scramble your personal data before sending it to the business
via the Internet.
As mentioned, SSL shows you that a Web site is secure when an
unbroken key or a lock appears in your browser window.
Statementcheckers.com is committed to providing the best possible
service and we are delighted to be of assistance.
